Brain Waves and Meditation
There are five categories of brain waves: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Theta. Each brain wave is associated with a different kind of thinking or activity. There are five types of mindfulness practices, Awareness of Breath, Body Scan, Cultivating Compassion, Mindful Movement, and Walking Meditation that have been researched to reduce stress. I decided to combine by love of brain waves and mindfulness practices to make meditation more fun for my clients.
